Assessment Data and Standardized Assessment
School leadership evaluates school effectiveness and student performance by data obtained from standardized assessments, grades and criterion-based assessments. The data from these sources is used to determine strengths and areas of concern and to plan and provide classroom instruction that meets student needs. Assessment results can be found in the assessment binder.

The Terra Nova which is administered in grades 3, 5 and 7 in the fall of each year allows GACC to evaluate how our students and programs compare to other schools in the Archdiocese of Omaha as well as nationally.
PLAN, which is administered to all sophomores in their fall semester, is a strong predictor of success on the ACT.
STAR Reading (This assessment evaluates students' reading levels and provides accurate, reliable, norm-referenced reading scores including grade equivalents, percentile ranks, and normal curve equivalents. This data allows Guardian Angels Central Catholic to determine the appropriate level of challenge for each student, to personalize practice and individualize instruction.)
*Previous to 2010-2011 the ITBS tests were given to grades 1-8; ITED to grades 9-12
*2010-2011 school year and beyond – page 15 in student handbook
